Year of Exposure Day 2: The truth will always be found out.

Year of Exposure Day 2: The truth will always be found out.

“Then Moses said to them: “If you do this thing, if you arm yourselves before the Lord for the war, and all your armed men cross over the Jordan before the Lord until He has driven out His enemies from before Him, and the land is subdued before the Lord, then afterward you may return and be blameless before the Lord and before Israel; and this land shall be your possession before the Lord. But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the Lord; and be sure your sin will find you out.”

‭‭Numbers‬ ‭32‬:‭20‬-‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus made himself very unpopular with the Jewish leaders of His day because He directly confronted and outed (exposed) their hypocrisy.

““Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭23‬:‭27‬-‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We know that our Lord is merciful and will help the struggling soul who sincerely comes to Him for strength in the midst of great temptation.

“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”

‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What the Lord will not endure are those who try to cover their sin with appearances. These people insult the Lord, acting as though they can hide the truth from even Him.

“They utter speech, and speak insolent things; All the workers of iniquity boast in themselves. They break in pieces Your people, O Lord, And afflict Your heritage. They slay the widow and the stranger, And murder the fatherless. Yet they say, “The Lord does not see, Nor does the God of Jacob understand.” Understand, you senseless among the people; And you fools, when will you be wise? He who planted the ear, shall He not hear? He who formed the eye, shall He not see? He who instructs the nations, shall He not correct, He who teaches man knowledge?”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭94‬:‭4‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Unbelievably, some people will try to continue their charade in the Day of judgment!

““Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭21‬-‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In our opening scripture, we see Moses’ response to the people who wanted to stay outside of the Promised Land in order to tend for their flocks, having that area as their inheritance.

In order to be able to do what they wanted to do, they had promised that their men would fight with the rest of Israel, until everyone received their own inheritance.

As we see, Moses accepted their offer, but gave the stern warning that they should not think that they could go against what they had promised and get by with it.

Friend, let us live every day with the knowledge that the Lord, our great God and King, the great Creator and Judge of all things, knows every little thing about us.

If you are struggling, take your struggle to Him. Leave your sinful ways and allow His Holy Spirit to lead you in the path of righteousness. After all, truth will not be covered forever. Just like that seed that is “hidden” deep in the earth, one day, it will out.
