“A Prophetic Word” Day 60: He is our point of reference.

Many times people have become lost—whether at sea, or in the wilderness, or even in a city with which they are not familiar—when they lose track of their original point of reference. Everything else is defined in terms of its position in relation to the point of reference. Indeed, without a point of reference, one street, one path, one wave in the sea, begins to look like another, so that a person may lose track of where they are.

As we are experiencing great upheaval and confusion all around us, it’s important to recognize that our point of reference must always be the Lord Jesus Christ. As we look at Him—no matter where we find ourselves—we can always know that we are not lost. Our very location is defined in terms of where He is. The Lord is the stability, the only stability of our times.

Child of God, don’t allow your focus to become fixated on the trouble around you, the trouble in your own life, or even the trouble in your own body. Continue to look at Jesus. You can do this by meditating on what He has done for you, His promises to you, and His continuing work in you through His Spirit! Think on Him. Believe in Him. Trust Him. In so doing, you need never feel lost again!

Peace to you.

Jesus is coming! Get ready for Him!
